Mahabbat Khan Mosque is another example of magnificent Mughal architecture. A narrow gateway sandwiched between jewelry shops leads to the Mosque. The interior is beautifully colored with floral patterns and geometric designs. The prayer hall is sheltered beneath three domes with two minarets as borders, a show of redolent classic Mughal style. The mosque was named after Mahabbat Khan who was the governor that served under both Shah Jahan and Auragzeb in the 1670s.
