Shah Jahan mosque was built during the Mughal period in 1647 A.D.This fantastic mosque is said to have the most sophisticated display of blue and white tile work in South Asia. The tiles were created using an ancient method passed down from generation to generation. Artist’s who reproduce these tiles today claim that the blue and white tile qualities are unattainable in other locations around the globe due to the rare constituents used coupled with their unique processes. This is a definite ‘have to see’ for those interested in artistic masterpieces.
