The beautiful flourishing Swat Valley, with its year round view of spectacular majestic snow capped mountains, borders Afghanistan in the North Western Frontier Providence.

Getting There
Saidu Sharif airport takes passengers from Islamabad to the Swat Valley. Another alternative is to take a car, bus, or van on the beautiful scenic road winding around and up to the mountainous area.  Gilgit a favorite skiing area can also be seen from the Valley of Swat high in the mountains that loom above.



 Accomodation
There are several reasonably priced motels to choose from located next to the Swat River where fisherman can be seen wading in the river netting fish, and horses can be seen crossing carrying supplies to the villages on the outskirts. There is also an amusement park next to the river as well as petal boats for rent.  In one of the highest points in Swat is the famous Serena Motel serving a huge buffet with some of the finest cuisine in Pakistan. The accommodations are exquisite and many activities are offered including tennis courts for its guests.
