Media has been broadcasting freedom. State monopoly has diminished by the expansion of private radio and TV stations. In 2005, nearly 100 licenses for private FM radio stations were permitted. Pakistan censors media releases and private station news broadcasts are not allowed, nevertheless, Pakistan's print media is among the most outspoken in South Asia.
